Sermorelin*

​

Sermorelin is a structurally truncated analog of Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone (GHRH). It consists of 29 amino acids of the naturally occurring neurohormone that is produced in the hypothalamus. Sermorelin is the most widely used member of the GHRH and can significantly promote the synthesis and release of growth hormone from cells in the pituitary gland, improving the serum concentrations of GH and subsequently insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1). IGF-1 leads to an increase in peripheral glucose uptake and a decreased production of hepatic glucose causing better insulin sensitivity. Insulin resistance may be the #1 cause of obesity, pre-diabetes and diabetes.

 

Naltrexone (Oral, nightly)

Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN)  may help curb appetite by stimulating growth hormone. It reduces cravings to assist with weight loss. It also helps to reduce insulin levels by 40%   It helps with mental clarity and sleep when taken at bedtime. It helps the body burn fat and maintain lean muscle mass. May help normalize appetite and reduce hunger. Some studies have shown it also helps to reduce general inflammation throughout the body. Naltrexone may help to "normalize" the mismatch between calories burned and appetite, especially in patients with hormonal imbalances.
