Paramedical Tattooing
Paramedical tattooing is a specialized form of cosmetic tattooing designed to restore confidence after surgery, trauma, medical treatments, or natural asymmetry. Instead of “changing” who you are, we focus on blending, softening, and enhancing what’s already there—so you can feel more at home in your skin.

What Is Paramedical Tattooing?
Paramedical tattooing uses advanced techniques and custom-matched pigments to:

-
Soften the appearance of scars and stretch marks
-
Restore the look of areolas and nipples after surgery
-
Gently enhance lip color, shape, and symmetry
-
Blend areas of discoloration with the surrounding skin
Our goal is natural-looking results that help your skin tell the story you want it to tell.

Scars tell a story—but they don’t need to be the only thing you see.

Scar Camouflaging

Caroline uses carefully selected pigments and gentle techniques to help scars look less noticeable by blending them into the surrounding skin tone.
Scar Camouflaging

-
Surgical scars (tummy tuck, C-section, joint surgery, etc.)
-
Trauma or accident scars
-
Some stretch marks or textural changes
-
Certain hypopigmented (lighter) scars

Lip Blushing

If you’re tired of reapplying lip color but don’t want a “lipstick” look, lip tinting can give you a soft, natural wash of color.

Lip tinting can help:

-
Enhance the natural color of pale lips
-
Improve the look of minor asymmetry
-
Create a more defined, youthful border
-
Give a “your lips but better” effect

What to expect:

-
Color is chosen to harmonize with your skin tone and natural lip color
-
Initial results may look stronger, then soften as they heal
-
Most clients need 1–2 sessions for best results

During your consultation, Caroline will:

-
Review your medical history and healing patterns
-
Assess scar color, texture, and age
-
Discuss realistic expectations and how many sessions may be needed
-
Create a custom treatment plan just for you

Note: Scars must usually be fully healed (often 12+ months old) and not raised, red, or unstable.

Kevin is a truly talented tattoo artist. He is formally trained in paramedical tattooing at the world-recognized Sauler Institute and brings advanced artistic skill to highly specialized restorative work.
He works with women and men to address scarring, pigment loss, and post-surgical changes through medically informed tattooing techniques.

3D Areola & Nipple Restoration
After breast surgery—whether mastectomy, reconstruction, reduction, or lift—areola and nipple tattooing can help restore a sense of wholeness and confidence.
Kevin specializes in:
-
3D areola and nipple tattoos that create realistic depth, shading, and dimension
-
Precise color matching to your natural skin tone or remaining tissue
-
Custom sizing, shape, and placement tailored to your body and personal preference
Ideal for:
-
Post-mastectomy breast reconstruction
-
Lightened or scarred areolas
-
Asymmetry in size, shape, or color
Many clients describe this service as the final step in their healing journey. Every session is approached with care, sensitivity, and deep respect.

Advanced Scar Camouflage & Revision
Some scars require more than subtle blending—they require creative, skilled coverage.
Kevin combines fine-art tattooing techniques with paramedical expertise to camouflage scars that are raised, darkened, or complex in shape—areas where traditional camouflage may not be effective.
Well suited for:
-
Larger or highly visible scars
-
Hyperpigmented or raised scarring
-
Irregular or challenging areas that need deeper corrective work

Each treatment plan is highly customized, with thoughtful consideration of skin type, scar characteristics, and long-term healing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is paramedical tattooing permanent?
Paramedical tattooing is considered long-lasting, but not truly permanent. Pigment typically remains for several years and will gradually soften and fade over time. This gentle fading is normal and allows the work to age naturally with your skin. Touch-ups can be done as needed to maintain your results and keep them looking their best.

Does it hurt?
Most clients describe the sensation as mildly uncomfortable rather than painful. Sensitivity can vary depending on the area and prior surgery or radiation, and we take that into careful consideration. We’ll talk through comfort measures ahead of time and make adjustments throughout the session to ensure you feel as supported and comfortable as possible.

How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the area, your skin, and your goals. Many people need 2–3 sessions for optimal results. We will work with you each step of the way.

Can you match my natural skin or areola color?

We work carefully to create the most natural, harmonious color possible for your skin and body. It’s important to know that skin—especially skin that has undergone surgery or radiation—can heal differently and may temporarily change in pH or pigment as it recovers.
That’s why we intentionally include a 10-week follow-up touch-up. This allows us to assess how your skin has healed, fine-tune color and depth, and ensure the most natural, long-lasting result. Our goal is not perfection in one session, but a thoughtful, supportive process that honors your healing journey.

Will this completely erase my scar?

While paramedical tattooing cannot remove a scar or change its texture, it can significantly soften its appearance. By blending color and reducing contrast, many scars become far less noticeable and easier to live with. Every scar and every healing journey is unique, and our approach is always thoughtful, realistic, and tailored to your skin and goals.
